Who we are

Mwana Trust is a women-led child development, protection and women empowerment organization concerned with the welfare of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs), children with special needs, women at grassroots level and communities.
We are a community initiative  responding to  broken down family structures, violence against women,  increase in OVCs, homeless children, child headed homes, children with special needs and elderly people looking after orphans.  Mwana Trust engages local communities and schools in transforming the skills, knowledge, and beliefs of all individuals who impact the life of a child and women.

Ensuring Transparency: Accountability in Mwana Trust’s Distributions

For transparency and accountability, Mwana Trust ensures that every beneficiary signs upon receiving their food hampers, stationery, or uniforms. This process guarantees that the intended recipients get their support while upholding our core values of integrity and responsibility. Empowering Education: Mwana Trust’s School Uniform & Stationery Drive

In February 2025, Mwana Trust distributed school uniforms and stationery hampers to its beneficiaries in the rural areas of Manicaland, specifically in Mutare and Mutasa districts. This initiative aligns with SDG 4 – Access to Quality Education by ensuring that children have the necessary resources to support their learning. Additionally, it contributes to SDG 2

Spreading Holiday Cheer: Mwana Trust’s Christmas Food Hamper Initiative

As a way of fulfilling SDG 2 – Zero Hunger, Mwana Trust distributed food hampers to some of its beneficiaries in December 2024 as a special Christmas present. Each hamper contained a balanced diet, including starch, protein, and vitamin C, ensuring nutritional support for vulnerable families. This initiative aimed to bring joy and nourishment during
